Please join the Rural Road Safety Network's (RRSN) webinar event focusing on rural road data collection and road safety use cases.

The webinar will consist of three short presentations followed by a time for Q&A.

1. Peter Jamieson

Peter is the Director and Founder of Anditi. Anditi has been working on the development and implementation of AiRAP globally with iRAP for the last 5.5 yrs and are global leaders in this space. This has included working closely with Main Roads WA and Austroads and to a lesser extent TMR Qld and TCCS Act, in addressing the myriad of challenges in automating the coding process.

Peter's presentation will cover the entire process starting from specifying what data needs to be captured, attribute extraction all the way through to being able to visualise star ratings and explore point cloud and imagery at the road segment level to help inform road improvements and the development of Safer Road Investment Plans.

2. Fritha Argus

As the Road Safety Research & Evaluation Manager at Main Roads WA, Fritha leads state‑wide safety initiatives, oversees research programs, and guides investment in evidence‑based road safety improvements. She has led Western Australia’s AusRAP publication, translating complex safety data into meaningful insights for safer road infrastructure. Fritha also serves as Chair of the WA Chapter of the Australasian College of Road Safety, contributing to national collaboration and advocacy across the road safety sector.

Fritha will present on how MRWA uses AiRAP to determine road stereotypes and target sections of the network to align with the intended Star Ratings.

3. Lloyd Baker

Lloyd is a Road Engineer at Main Roads WA, responsible for the development and maintenance of road design standards. He is passionate about innovation in the transportation sector, and using existing data to gain new insights into the state’s road network.

Lloyd will present on how Main Roads Western Australia is leveraging LiDAR data for visibility assessments on their road network.
