RYLA O-Day 2022
Event description
RYLA O-Day is a one-day event for RYLA Alumni, run concurrently across Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific Islands.
This is an exciting opportunity for RYLArians to continue their RYLA journey. Together we will develop our leadership skills, engage in advanced leadership content and connect with fellow Alumni.
Event Details
RYLA O-Day is on Saturday 15 October 2022. There is an Online Program for RYLA O-Day that will be streamed across the region, and In-Person Events will be hosted by local teams.
Local in-person events are currently organised for the following locations: Queenstown, Sydney, Bendigo and Perth. Each event will have its own program which is built around the online program (details provided below). We will add further locations when we receive confirmations from local teams.
The theme for RYLA O-Day 2022 is CONNECTION. The Online Program will feature an amazing Keynote Presentation by Jen Young from Intentional Generations, plus you will engage in facilitated activities and networking opportunities.

Keynote Speaker
Jen Young from Intentional Generations will facilitate our Keynote Presentation on CONNECTION.
The way we connect has changed since COVID. We are connecting more-and-more digitally, and less-and-less in person. This has important implications for how we lead and how we engage.
Jen's presentation will help RYLArians:
- Explore what they need individually for a meaningful connection
- Learn how to build engaging digital connections
- Deepen connections with fellow RYLA Alumni

How much does it cost?
The cost to attend the Online Program is only AUD $10. You must purchase a ticket to receive a unique invitation link for Zoom Events (our video conferencing platform). If you are wanting to attend an In-Person event, please read the instructions below before proceeding as each In-Person Event will have their own ticketing option (if you are planning to attend an In-Person Event, you will not need to purchase an additional ticket to the Online Program).
RYLA O-Day is intended to be accessible to all RYLArians, so please let us know if you would like to discuss this cost.
Local in-person event information
In-Person Events will be listed here when local teams are ready to go!
Perth: The in-person event is being held on 15 October 2022 from 8.30am - 2.30pm AWST. The venue is the North Perth Lesser Hall. Tickets are $25, and you only need to purchase the one ticket on this link (you don’t need to purchase a ticket to the Online Program).
Queenstown: A 3-day RYLA event is being organised around RYLA O Day. Be part of the LIVE audience with the KEY NOTE SPEAKER - Jen Young, who you will get to spend one-on-one time with. We will also head back into the gully at Lakeland Park for a look at the progress the camp has made since February. You won't recognise it now! We will also get to put in an hour or two of work, weather depending.

Early registration would be helpful and will help with planning and catering.

Sydney: We have booked a beautiful conference room at The City of Sydney RSL, located in the heart of Sydney at 565 George St. Come and experience a wonderful workshop while connecting with fellow Alumni from across Sydney! Our session will go from 11:30am to 2:30pm (local time). You only need to purchase the one ticket on this link (you don’t need to purchase a ticket to the Online Program).
Bendigo: The in-person event is being held on 15 October 2022 from 10:00am - 3:00pm (local time). The venue is the Girton Grammar School. Tickets are $25, and you only need to purchase the one ticket on this link (you don’t need to purchase a ticket to the Online Program).
