Overview

The Strength2Strength program aims to build resilience in families while building upon pre-existing skills and strengths. This program offers:

  • A space to share lived experiences and stories with others

  • Explore ways others have managed and coped with the challenges of traumatic brain injury

  • Facilitates collaborative relationships.

  • Explores strategies for restoring balance and 'recharging the batteries'

  • Offers information on social and economic resources available

*Please note that this is a support program for family members or chosen family of someone living with a brain injury. It is not open to professionals or service providers or people with lived experience of a brain injury.

Program Dates

This is a 5-session online program. Sessions are 90 minutes (1pm-2:30pm AEST).

You will get the most benefit through your commitment in attending all of the sessions.

Facilitators

  • Erin Mitchell (she/her), Specialist Social Worker, Care Rehab

    Erin Mitchell (she/her), Specialist Social Worker, Care Rehab

    Erin has over 20 years of experience in mental health and rehabilitation services, having worked in Sydney, Brisbane, and London. Since 2016, she has specialised in adult neurological rehabilitation and enjoys the challenge of working with complex neurological injuries. Erin also brings extensive knowledge from the paediatric brain injury field, drawing on 6 years of experience working in Kids Rehab.

  • Jackson Singleton (he/him), Specialist Social Worker

    Jackson Singleton (he/him), Specialist Social Worker

    Jackson brings close to 20 years of extensive experience in community spinal cord injury rehabilitation, inpatient brain injury adult rehabilitation, and neurosurgery settings across NSW.
