Sắc Việt On Campus: Vietnamese Cultural Festival

Xin chào, Vietnamese culture lovers! 🙌🏻

VIVU excitingly invites you to “Sắc Việt" on Campus - Vietnamese Cultural Festival. This is a vibrant cultural festival celebrating the rich heritage of Vietnam through food, music, art, history, and strengthening community engagement at VU.

We aim to promote Vietnamese cultural awareness and foster connections among Vietnamese students and students from other backgrounds through interactive experiences. 😋While sharing Vietnamese heritage, we also want to learn from your country through the Conical Hat (Nón lá) competition, where you can add your own country's beauty or icon on our Conical Hat, and Live performances, where you can sing a song in your language. 

The festival features:

• Vietnamese Food Stalls: Vietnamese roll (Bánh Mì), Vegan Spring Roll (Chả Giò Chay), Fried Rice, and Vietnamese dessert (Chè). We have Vegan, Vegetarian, and Halal options.

• Interactive Activities: Try Vietnamese childhood games such as Tossing the can (Tạt lon), Vietnamese Bingo (Lô tô), Hopscotch (Nhảy lò cò), Tennis ball and chopsticks (Banh đũa).

• Paint-Your-Own Conical Hat (Nón lá) Workshop & Competition: Discover the story behind the Vietnamese conical hat (nón lá) while unleashing your creativity by designing your own. Join the competition with your friends to win exciting prizes and have your artwork showcased at the VU Library!

• Live Performances: A vibrant live show from amazing singers and band featuring Vietnamese songs and music from around the world - you can also sing along or perform in your own language!
