Event description

During the COVID-19 restrictions we've had to ask significant questions about why we celebrate communion, the role of the presider, and the issue of where and when we celebrate. Here's a great chance to explore these questions and more.

Sacraments in the Uniting Church is an invitation to explore the meaning of baptism and communion, and discuss what God offers us as we participate in them. We'll cover UCA approaches to adult and infant baptism, communion and children.

We'll have a chance to try out UCA orders of service, and look at how sacraments can be experienced away from the church building.

The course is offered to all people interested in learning more about our experience of God in the sacraments. People who are hoping to be authorised as lay presiders will need to complete the five assignments associated with this course.

The $30 fee covers a pack of printed UCA resources for communion, baptism and thanksgiving for a child.

For more information, please contact Presbytery Minister Team Leader Jay Robinson at pm-tl@ucappep.org or 0410 465 836
