    Event description

Shamanism, an ancient spiritual practice that dates back thousands of years, has long been revered for its profound healing abilities. One of the most powerful tools used by shamans in their rituals is the sacred feather. These feathers hold immense energy and are believed to possess the ability to connect with higher realms and channel divine healing.

Feathers have been used by indigenous cultures worldwide as a means of communication with spirits and as a conduit for healing energy. In shamanic traditions, feathers are seen as symbols of transformation, wisdom, and connection to the divine. They are believed to carry the essence of birds, which soar freely in the sky and have a unique perspective on life.

This sacred class offers an opportunity to tap into your creativity while connecting with ancient traditions and spiritual practices. The art of wand-making has been practiced by various cultures throughout history, symbolizing power, protection, and connection to the divine. During this class, you will learn the techniques of crafting a beautiful wand and gain insight into the symbolism behind each component.

Our Sacred Feather Wand Making Class goes beyond just a creative outlet. It provides a space for self-reflection and personal growth. As you carefully select feathers, crystals, and other materials for your wand, you will be encouraged to consider their significance and how they align with your intentions.

When creating a ceremonial feather tool/wand, one must approach the process with reverence and respect. It is important to find feathers from birds that have naturally shed their plumage. This ensures that no harm comes to any living creature during this sacred act.

The healing powers of shamanic feather wands lie in their ability to connect us with our inner wisdom and guide us toward balance and harmony. By embracing these ancient practices and creating our ceremonial tools, we tap into a rich tapestry of spiritual knowledge passed down through generations.

These tools hold the energy of transformation and connection to higher realms. By creating our own ceremonial feather tools with respect and intention, we can access the healing powers they possess. Through their use, we can connect with our inner wisdom and bring balance and harmony into our lives. Let us honor the ancient traditions of shamanism by embracing these sacred practices and allowing the healing energies of feathers to guide us on our spiritual journey.

    What You Can Expect

    • All materials are provided. You are also invited to bring your own special feathers or materials to add to your sacred tools.
    • If you have found feathers in nature, please be mindful and always "ask" that bird's spirit if they are yours to work with. This is "medicine" that has been gifted to you. Sit with the bird and ask what the medicine is, or if you need help, go to Ted Andrew's book Animal Speak and look for guidance. (We will also have the book available at the class)
    • If you have any favorite stones, beads, or amulets that you would like to incorporate, please bring them. Wood, sticks, stones, and such can also be used for handles or bases for your wand.
    • Ceremonial space will be invoked to provide a sacred container for creating your tools. You will be smudged to begin the day, along with all materials. Everything will be made with prayers and blessings to activate the spirit and power of your tools.
    • Learn about the origins and use of making a feather wand suitable for energy clearing and extraction work, blessings, prayer work, and so much more. A demonstration will be given, and guidance will be given to support you in making your own unique spirit feather wand.
    • Herbal tea and a light snack will be provided.
    • Please bring a pair of comfortable slippers with traction or socks with traction to wear upstairs in the loft.
    • Feel free to bring water or any snacks of your liking. If you would like to bring a snack to share, that would be welcome.
