Event description

Sacred Journey into Motherhood

Traditionally, young women were surrounded by mothers, aunties, and grandmothers during pregnancy and birth. Before becoming mothers themselves, they had witnessed birth, supported women in ceremony, and been held by their community each time a child was welcomed. Motherhood was a shared rite of passage — organic, embodied, and celebrated.

Today, many of us no longer live this way. Birth can feel private, hidden, or medicalised, and women often step into motherhood without the circle of support that once guided them.

This day retreat is an invitation to remember and reclaim that wisdom.
🌿 First-time mothers will be guided in what is required to prepare for birth and the postpartum season.
🌿 Women who have already birthed will share their reflections and embodied wisdom.
🌿 Together we will create ceremony, share stories, and honour the sacred journey into motherhood.

It will be a day of truth-telling, soulful preparation, and feminine connection — a space where every woman is seen, nourished, and held.

🌿 Sessions with Angela

  1. The Energetics of Birth
Exploring what’s missing in modern birth culture, and why it’s vital we reclaim the unseen, energetic aspects of this sacred passage.

  2. Motherhood as a Rite of Passage

Tuning into our visions and desires for motherhood, while also honouring what may rise from our own childhoods as we prepare to step into this new role. For mothers welcoming another baby, we will also explore the transition for siblings — how to support them, include them, and honour their place in the family as it expands.

  3. Embody Temple
A guided, non-verbal somatic practice for self-connection. An invitation to drop into your body, quiet the mind, and listen deeply to your inner wisdom.

  4. Truth Telling Circle
Honest reflections on preparing for birth and beyond — from recognising red flags in maternity care, to the often-unspoken truths of the postpartum journey. We’ll also explore relationship dynamics with our partners after baby arrives, and share practical tips to remain connected during this tender transition. A sisterhood space of shared stories.

  5. Integration & Creation
A gentle close to the day with space for reflection, journaling, and hands-on creation of a meaningful altar item — a personal anchor of strength and intention for labour, postpartum, and motherhood.

🌿Session With Molly

Embodied Pelvic Exploration

We will have a special guest Molly, who will be sharing an alternative view on pelvic health in relation to the pregnancy journey and guiding women into a more intimate connection with their sacred pelvic bowl.

🌿Attendees

Whether this is your first pregnancy or your sixth, this retreat is designed for you. All women, at any stage of pregnancy, are welcome.

If you carry past birth experiences that are still integrating or hold pain, you will be offered a complimentary 30-minute birth chat with Angela before the event. This ensures your needs are supported and you feel safe on the day.

Angela is trained in trauma-informed facilitation and understands how to gently hold space for emotional triggers. Truth-telling is welcomed here — but always in a way that honours your journey while offering wisdom to mothers preparing for their own experiences. This retreat is about healing, support, and breaking away from the harmful patterns of normalised birth culture.

Food: You will be provided with nourishing snacks, a hearty lunch and herbal teas. The day will be a priority to yourself and we will have food on hand throughout the day.

Venue: Nestled on a beautiful property in Prevelly we will have direct access to the beach and a comfortable home with lots of nooks to rest and have space. Comfort will be a priority.

Tickets: We will be using the green bottle sliding scale method for ticket payments. This is to try and make this retreat as assessable as possible. Please look at the green bottle picture to self assess which ticket you qualify for.

Your Facilitators:
Angela is a mother of five and lives on Wardandi Boodja.
With over two decades of lived experience in pregnancy, birth, and motherhood, she walks beside women as they prepare for one of life’s most profound rites of passage.
Angela is a birthkeeper, Aware Parenting Instructor, and trauma-informed space holder. Her work is grounded in deep trust of the body’s wisdom, a reverence for the sacredness of birth, and the belief that every woman deserves to feel safe, seen, and supported.
She is passionate about reclaiming birth and motherhood as spiritual, embodied, and community-held experiences. Angela brings warmth, honesty, and gentleness to her work — holding space for truth-telling, healing, and connection.
Mothers often say they leave her circles feeling more nourished, confident, and deeply connected to themselves, their babies, and the greater sisterhood of women.

Molly is a Pelvic Physiotherapist, Craniosacral therapist and Holistic Pelvic Care™ practitioner, supporting women at any stage along their journey, from menarche to menopause. Molly encourages women to form a deeper relationship and bond with their feminine physiology, and to feel the inherent healing genius that is alive within all human beings. Over the years of exploration and study she has become a bridge between the scientific and sacred worlds- weaving the magic of both together, and questioning the common narratives women are told in the often confusing world of women’s health.
Molly is a firm believer in preventative care, and her support for women is anchored towards promoting long term, vibrant, thriving, pelvic health.
