Description:
This 90 minute group is designed to create a gentle, supportive environment where participants can explore mindfulness and emotional well-being. No prior meditation experience is needed; the focus is on the willingness to come with an open heart, listen to ourselves and others, and share what is on your heart.
The circle typically follows this structure:
Guided Practice: After an open hearted intro to each other and intention settings, participants will be guided through a 20-minute meditation paired with a short poem reading to help ground, calm, and reflect.
Sharing: An open, compassionate space for participants to share what is on their hearts and how the experience was for them.
Closing: A final meditation with exercises that participants can take with them for when we all need to utilize a nervous system reset for ourselves.
The goal is to foster a sense of community and inner peace. As Ram Dass says, “We are all just walking each other home.” This circle is a space to meet oneself with tenderness, transform suffering into meaning, and walk a healing path together.
Meditation Theme: The Wisdom of the Aspen Grove
Beneath the surface of an aspen grove, there is a beautiful secret: what appears to be a gathering of individual trees is often a living community, connected by an expansive, shared root system. New trees rise from these roots, each reaching toward the sky in its own way, yet remaining part of something larger than itself. In many ways, we are like the aspens. We move through the world sometimes believing we are standing alone, forgetting the invisible threads that connect us. When we gather in a circle and share the truths of our hearts, something shifts. We hear our own experiences reflected in another’s words.
Someone else’s courage gives us courage. Someone else’s honesty gives us permission to be honest. A story unlocks something we didn’t even know was waiting to be opened. Today, as we pass the thread from one woman to another, may we remember that we are not meant to stand alone.
Each of us brings something essential to this living web. Our stories strengthen it. Our truth gives it life. And even when we leave this circle and return to our separate paths, may we carry the knowing that beneath the surface, we are connected in ways we cannot always see.”
