Sacred Womens Voices
Event description
Emanuel Synagogue is partnering with the Sydney Sacred Music Festival to present a once-off performance by The Sacred Women's Voices.
Sound is an integral part of experiencing and celebrating the sacred. Every note has a frequency, and frequency is energy. This means that harmonious voices can, almost literally, transport you to otherworldly places.
Join us for a sacred experience; pleasing to both the ears and the spirit.
You’ll get to experience sacred sound from a variety of cultures and performers, including:
- Heather Lee Cunio’s Sacred Soprano vocals, with Kim Cunio
- Larissa Kovalchuk on vocals and Ukrainian Bandura
- Lara Goodridge with her beautiful violin and vocals
- Melbourne’s SARAY Iluminado Femme Duo performing Sevdah, traditional music of Bosnia and Herzegovina
- Maria Ivanova sharing Bulgarian sacred acapella pieces
- Marguerite Montes and Peter Urquhart on Spanish vocals, guitar, and violin
And if you stick around to the end, you’ll witness a grand finale with all cultures and sacred sounds melding together in harmony.
It’s a sacred sound experience you’ll never forget.
