Sacred Whale Ceremony - Honouring The Mother Whale & Her New-born Calf

Each winter, pregnant whale mothers travel up to 10,000 kilometres - coming to our shores from Antarctica to give birth and to nurse and teach their babies before returning to Antartica for feeding season in the summer.

The fertile and pregnant mothers are arriving at our shores right now, where they will deliver their next generation - they come each year for birthing, nursing and breeding. Our shorelines offer them warmth from the Antarctic waters, shelter from the storms and prevailing winds of the open ocean, and protection from harmful interferences by man, predator and the wrath of mother nature.

JOIN ME IN HONOURING the mother whales who travel this great distance and her dedication to her baby through protecting them from predators to practicing breathing, playing (through skills development including breaching out of the water) and discovering the ocean world around them. The mother’s body is the life support system and only source of nourishment for her baby and she provides all she can without replenishment of herself until she makes the major journey all the way back to Antartica, for feeding season. 

It is really quite an incredible story of devotion and the power of nature, including the biological imperative of creating new life. I want you to experience the energetic connection I have felt, interacting with the whales all around the world, as we wish these mothers safe arrival and delivery of their babies - remembering too that some will be first time mothers. Our energetic reassurance will signal an added layer of love, support and nurture for her.

Whales are the keepers of all knowledge, they are ancestral and they are symbolic of our cosmic connection - right back to the spark of creation.

Join me in Sacred Ceremony to “Sing Up The Mother and Baby Whales” as they snuggle in close to the coast of Victoria. We will gather on the beach and through story, song/chant and tribal-style dance we will celebrate the arrival of the mothers and the safe delivery of their calves. The songs/chants and dances we will do together have been created by Author and Artist Jenesis, The Spirit Song Woman and Aussie Whale Woman.

Your ticket price of $55 is an acknowledgement and appreciation of the work to develop such a ceremony over the past 4 years. You contribution helps support the work I continue doing for the conservation and preservation of our whales. It is heavily discounted from the full price of $95, which it will be in 2026.

You are encouraged to bring your own hand-held musical instruments such as bowls, clap-sticks, tambourine, flute etc or just your hands to clap along, if you like. Before each song is sung, the rhythm will be played and the lyrics/words to chant will be shared, so you can practice and hopefully remember them. They are simple words and easy to sing. No singing 'skills' are required as this is not about a choir but more importantly, it is about a ceremony where the source of your voice is what matters (from the heart and spirit). This is how you will connect deeply with the spirit of the whale mothers and their babies, born yet or not.

Also, each song has a dance sequence that you can join in with as we dance, to express our love, care and protection for these mother whales and babies, through our voice and movement. Again, no particular dance skills/experience is required.
