SaCSA - Virtual Workshop – Funeral Services Sector
Event description
Service and Creative Skills Australia (SaCSA) invites you to a virtual workshop to share your insights into the funeral services industry.
We want to hear from as many people as possible from different business sizes, metro/regional/remote locations, and roles within funeral service businesses.
The insights gathered will help us build a deeper understanding of the industry before any consideration of formal qualifications. We will explore:
Workforce challenges and pressures
Skills needed now and into the future
Training currently available and where the gaps are
What people would like to see from formal qualifications (if anything)
How people enter the industry and the reasons why they may leave
Pay and conditions, and how these affect workforce sustainability
Broader challenges, such as leadership, mental health, and wellbeing
What has changed recently or is currently changing in the funeral industry
The workshop will be informal and conversational, with opportunities for everyone to contribute. This session is part of the early stages of engagement with the funeral industry.
