Lineup

Songwriting Session One: Group Writing Session with Lu Kang
Pick a beat and write a song from scratch with your group, hook first, then verses. Lu will give you continuous feedback throughout the session, then you perform it at the end, and you will leave with a drafted lyric sheet with feedback to continue developing the song.

Songwriting Session Two: Group Recording Session
Learn mic technique and warm up your voice, then record your group's song with a music producer, leave with a rough mix, and hear all three songs played back with feedback and advice from Lu & our Level 7 SAE Producers.

Screen Session One: The Producers Toolkit with Ryn Liddell
Find out what a film producer actually does, from pre-production to post-production. Then work in a team to build and deliver a five-minute pitch for a mock $5,000 grant, receiving feedback from Ryn & Tim.

Screen Session Two: Content Creation for Beginners with Timothy Coetzee
Learn from Tim, how to make a short video using your phone, from framing and lighting to hook-driven structure. Then shoot and edit a 15- to 20-second clip to a mock brief and watch all the clips at a mini screening.

Creative Business Session One: Music Management for Beginners with Alex Yong
Find out the responsibilities of a music manager using real artist examples. Then it's your turn: pick an artist with your group, draft a 90-day plan, and present it for feedback from Alex.

Creative Business Session Two: Networking for Early Creatives with Aria Chaplin
Get to know the organisations, guilds, and spaces in the creative community, and talk honestly about the anxieties of networking. Then commit to attending an event or organisation, and with Aria's help, we end the day refining your LinkedIn profile so you leave with a professional, refined profile ready to utilize.
