Event description
Cycling for transport means riding on bike paths and sometimes amongst traffic on city streets. This FREE class teaches invaluable skills for riding about town safely and with confidence, Led by experienced trainers on bike paths and quiet streets, you'll learn techniques that can transform your experience of city cycling.

This class is for participants with basic bike riding skills, aged 15 and over. Under 18's must be accompanied by a responsible adult and be happy to maintain attention for three hours. If you are a beginner or rusty rider, please consider undertaking our Cycling Basics class first. Dates will be scheduled in 2026.
What to bring?
Your bike (street-legal e-bikes are welcome), helmet, suitable riding clothes, sunscreen and water. Light refreshments will be provided. This class is undertaken in public areas and toilets may be a short ride away, so we recommend a toilet break before you arrive.
Registration is essential.
