Large Forest Owls Project - Safe Havens Winter Workshop

Price FREE Get tickets

Event description

Join us to celebrate INTERNATIONAL OWL AWARENESS DAY at Banyula Conservation Reserve in Pillar Valley, for an afternoon of presentations by wildlife experts, a bushwalk to check nestboxes and look at some large old growth habitat trees. Stay for dinner and after dark, we will go spotlighting, listen for nocturnal wildlife and perhaps even glimpse an Owl.

Do you want to know what makes that strange screeching, hooting or barking noise you heard in the bush? Or what type of owl or glider you saw gliding silently past the other night? Or what you can do to manage the remaining hollow bearing trees that are essential for the conservation of large forest owls? You'll learn all this and more!

Where: Banyula Conservation Reserve– Barrys Bridge Road Pillar Valley

When: Saturday 3rd August 2024

Its free and dinner is provided, but you need to register to assist planning and catering.

You are also able to camp out at Banyula if you want to make a night of it.
