Safe Place – Teen Creative Workshop (Ages 13–17)
Event description
Creative Workshop (Ages 13–17)
15 June, 12.00 pm ( different time to program )
This empowering session is designed especially for LGBTQIA+ teens, offering a supportive space to explore identity, safety, and self-expression through creative processes. Guided by a Master’s-qualified art therapist, artist, and educator (registered with PACFA & ANZACATA), participants will use mixed media and sculptural elements to design their own symbolic “safe place” or internal landscape.
Combining imagination, hands-on making, and sensory awareness, this workshop helps teens tune into their inner world and reflect on what safety, freedom, and authenticity mean to them. Through this process, they’re encouraged to build emotional insight, self-trust, and resilience—all essential foundations for wellbeing during adolescence.
With access to both indoor and outdoor creative spaces, teens can move and create at their own pace in a way that suits their comfort. A welcoming and inclusive environment for young people to express their truth, connect with others, and strengthen their sense of self.
