SafePath – Free Training for Multicultural & Settlement Workers
Empowering You to Support Victim-Survivors of Sexual Violence
SafePath is designed to enhance the capacity of frontline workers in identifying and responding to victim-survivors of sexual violence from migrant and refugee backgrounds. We have collaboratively developed this culturally responsive training package to support best practice.
Why It Matters
Increased Awareness: Sexual violence is challenging to speak about, and this can compound victim-survivors fears and feelings of shame and stigma.
Improved Responses: Victim-survivors from migrant and refugee backgrounds are likely to disclose to someone they trust. This requires a culturally responsive, trauma informed, and victim-survivor centered response.
