Safety by Design Partnership | Water and Energy

Thriving Communities Australia (TCA) is engaging widely with energy and water businesses and experts, the family violence and community sectors and people with lived experience in the Safety by Design Partnership project to build capability for change and reduce risks for water and energy consumers experiencing family violence.

We are undertaking this work in partnership with the Essential Services Commission, Catherine Fitzpatrick (Flequity Ventures), Safe and Equal and the Centre for Women’s Economic Safety, to promote the safer design of water and energy systems and processes.

This online workshop in Melbourne will set the context and learning space for water and energy businesses to deep dive into the issues, understand the current state, what we collectively know and don’t know and ‘why’ this work is important. The agenda also includes hearing from lived and learned experience with project partner, Safe and Equal. The Essential Services Commission will not be attending the workshop.

We invite you to nominate up to two senior delegates from your organisation who have knowledge and understanding of how your organisation supports people impacted by family violence and have the authority to speak on behalf of the organisation. Alongside operational leaders, other roles to consider are staff in policy, risk, governance and IT.
