We are excited to announce that the SafeWork NSW Guest Lecture is returning in 2025 following its great success last year! Join us for an insightful and engaging session where experienced inspectors will share practical knowledge and real-world insights into safety in the construction industry.

Steve Charles
With over 33 years as a SafeWork Inspector, Steve brings extensive experience across regional and metropolitan NSW. He has investigated thousands of workplace incidents and led numerous proactive safety initiatives. Steve holds a degree in Occupational Health and Safety (University of Newcastle) and a Graduate Diploma in Employment Relations (Western Sydney University).
Lewis Shackleton
A dedicated SafeWork Inspector in the construction sector, Lewis applies his technical knowledge to drive safety compliance, lead incident investigations, and champion proactive risk management. He is passionate about building safer construction environments.
