Event description

Off the back of the recently announced Skilling South Australia, JobMaker and JobTrainer initiatives, Stone & Chalk, in partnership with the Department for Innovation and Skills, is exploring solutions to support young South Australians to gain exposure and experience through work placements in the technology sector.

This workshop is an opportunity to provide input into the design of the employer proposition for this pilot program in South Australia.

The session will begin with Stone & Chalk’s resident Work Futurist, Anne Moore, setting the scene with an overview of the emerging work trends, in-demand skills and the jobs that are expected to drive sustainable performance and productivity.

Through interactive discussion, we will then help you identify the capabilities needed to address the challenges and opportunities ahead. We will explore with you what sustainable skills young people need to become work-ready, what role technology apprenticeships might play, and what barriers exist for employers that prevent them from hiring young people today.
