Salamander Monitoring Guide Sign-up
Description
Volunteer to lead a walk as part of our Salamander Monitoring program
Our Salamander Monitoring program introduces visitors to citizens science, learning how to identify species, handle them safely, and collect and record data.
Guides will lead a group of up to 15 people on a walk to our monitoring site. The program involves checking under pre-placed boards and recording what you find.
You'll be provided with training, information, and guidance to help you feel confident in your role.

** You'll notice that when you're signing up it looks like you're purchasing tickets. The system we use is designed for ticket sales. There will never be a cost to sign up to volunteer and you won't need the ticket you receive in your email. **
Viles Arboretum has 224-acres of land and 7-miles of trails that are open every day of the year and free to visit. Volunteers play a vital role in helping to keep our spaces maintained.
