Event description

The future of salaried arrangements, contractual set-off, ‘all-inclusive’ pay and wage compliance post Fair Work Ombudsman v Woolworths Group Limited & Ors [2025] FCA 1092

The Federal Court’s recent decision has significant implications for the retail industry and beyond with respect to salaried arrangements which presume the entitlement to set off underpayments across pay periods. The other key parts of the decision relate to record-keeping obligations, and the interpretation of key clauses in the General Retail Industry Award 2020.

This webinar is designed to help employers digest the Federal Court’s lengthy 194-page decision and unpack the key points, as well as to begin to grapple with whether, and if so how, salaried arrangements might continue to be practicable after this judgment.

Co-presented by Amy Lynes, Acting Principal Workplace Relations Consultant, and Morgan Beames, Senior Associate at NRA Legal.
