SALSA @ SOURCE - A Salsa Class & Social Dancing with Gio Escobar

We're bringing Gio Escobar, director of Siguelo Dance Company from Philadelphia to Central Pennsylvania for another mambo workshop! Are you used to dancing salsa on1 and worried about the switch? Or maybe you've never danced to salsa music at all and want to try something new? Gio, who has over a decade of experience as a dancer and many years of experience as an instructor in Philly and nationally within the dance congress/festival circuit, is one of the best when it comes to breaking things down in a way that make it easy for both dancers used to dancing on 1 and complete beginners to get comfortable with the basics of dancing salsa on 2 (mambo), whether with solo shines, or dance follow and lead partnerwork.

Gio, quien tiene más de una década de experiencia como bailarín y muchos años de experiencia como instructor en Filadelfia y a nivel nacional dentro del circuito de congresos y festivales de baile, es uno de los mejores cuando se trata de romper las cosas de una manera que sea fácil tanto para los bailarines acostumbrados a bailar en 1 y principiantes completos para sentirse cómodo con los fundamentos de bailar salsa en 2 (mambo), ya sea con solo brilla, o seguir la danza y llevar partnerwork.

Maybe you're a seasoned salsa & bachata dancer and just wanna get back to the basics of technique and form? Maybe Titi had you movin to Marc Anthony y La India en la cocina as a kid and now you want to learn how to add un poquito structure to the sabor... Or perhaps you've never heard of salsa dancing before but your curiousity has you thinking this has more to it than carrying a bag of doritos and a bowl of salsa around the house as Bad Bunny thumps in the background... Come on out and join us for a class and then some time to practice what you've learned!!!

Here's what you need to know:

It costs $15/person in advance, or $20 day-of/at the door, with a group rate available for groups of 4+

Doors open at 7pm

Mambo Class starts at 7:30pm

Salsa & Bachata Social dancing from the end of class to 10pm with DJ Classy (Paul Rodriguez) of Lancaster, PA

- food available for purchase, BYOB.
