Event description

The Spry Family purchased 20ha on Lake Victoria four years ago & they’ve controlled weeds & rabbits while revegetating & monitoring bird life. Through their hard work, the land is regenerating. They’re establishing a Seed Production Area to grow native seed to help the property be economically self-sustainable.

The Sprys will share their work joined by Dr Paul Carnell from Centre of Nature Positive Solutions, RMIT, who’ll talk about the amazing capacity of wetlands to store carbon and mitigate against climate change.

Corangamite Catchment Management Authority, City of Greater Geelong & Trust for Nature will join us to highlight projects they’re working on with local landholders.

This event is in partnership with Corangamite Catchment Management Authority, & funded through Department of Energy, Environment and
Climate Action Port Philip Bay Fund.
