SAM Spring Camp: Mirror Me Clay Self-Portraits
Description
This hands-on workshop invites kids to take a look in the mirror to create their own ceramic self-portrait, inspired by Camille Olsen-Ormandy’s vanity mirror-framed portrait in the Archibald Prize 2026.
Beginning with a tour through the exhibition for inspiration, kids will head into the workshop to paint their portraits in underglaze on ready-made clay “mirrors”, with plenty of room for decorations and customisations.
Finished works will be glazed and fired at SAM, ready to be collected at a later date.
This workshop is suitable for kids aged 5-12. All participants must be accompanied by an adult. Program Details Date + time: Wednesday 30 September Morning session: 10.00am-11.15am Afternoon session: 1pm-2.15pm Location: Shepparton Art Museum, 530 Wyndham Street, Shepparton Price: $8.80 |
