Same Different Same
Description
Same Different Same is a collaborative, site-specific performance-situation. Multiple nodes are linked by technological means as well as by the physical space of the venue. Each node contains sound units, a light unit, a projection unit, and a spatial singularity created by the architecture and the bodies within it.
Once the performance is in action, multiple bodies coincide at a shared location in space and time, and the spatial singularity becomes a spatiotemporal one. This singularity does not stand alone. It exists within a stream of singularities, each different from the others and yet somehow the same, because they interpenetrate and have no clear boundaries.
A body may be a body of sound, a body of light, or a human body. Everything is what it is, but what it is, is and is not the same at any given moment. Or it is the same, but a different same.
Do you know what that means? It’s okay if you don’t. This is just an invitation. Come and see.
