Description

Are you ready to call upon the Irish Ancestors, and celebrate Samhain by honoring those who have walked before us?

Welcome to the Ancestral Connections Workshop!

This is the 6th workshop I've taught in this way, and I am so jazzed to bring you the next iteration!

This Ancestral Connections Workshop is space to learn about Irish Ancestry, honor the Irish Lineage, and Celebrate Samhain in a cozy communal setting. The intention is to re-connect those with Celtic Ancestry to their roots through community Song and Meditation. We are also open to those who may not have Irish Ancestry, but want to honor the Gaels, or simply learn to sing a Gaelic song, because, hey, its pretty cool to sing in Gaelic!

We'll begin the workshop by building an altar to the Irish Ancestors, with some Samhain flair tossed into the mix...its all seasonally appropriate! Think pictures of your grandparents, sacred family heirlooms, small pumpkins and gourds, jack'o'lanterns (they are Irish in origin!), candles to light for those passed, and, of course, Herbs and Crystals! (See below for suggested Samhain Crystals and Herbs).

Weather permitting, we'll light the Sacred fire, and I will lead us through a deeply profound Ancestral Meditation. This experience will bridge the gap between our ancestral lands, and the lands we now inhabit. I will guide us through our past generations, all the way to the grandparents who traveled across the sea from the Mother Land of Eire. There, we'll dive deeply into Ancestral Communication, and experience a re-connection to our roots. Prepare for healing, and grounding into the land of Ireland, before being guided safely back to your body, and into the space.

With our connections re-established, we move into the highlight of the workshop! We will learn to sing The Song of Amergin, an elemental invocation and song of Victory. This is the OLDEST known song written in the Irish language, and perfect for connecting to the DEEP roots of Ancient Ireland. I've already done the hard work of making the pronunciation easy and digestible for you! Bring a shaker, and be bewitched by the powerful lyrics and my personal lilting melody, of this song.

BONUS: You'll also learn some vocal warm up techniques and memorization tricks!

We'll close with community sharing, mingling, and a release of the energies we've called into the space.

Does all of that sound good to you? I hope so, because I am STOKED to share this with you.

See you there, Irish Kinfolk and Friends!
