Sat, 3 May, 3pm - 6pm AEST

Event description

Join Earthstar and Nicki on Saturday 3rd May in the hall at the Mount Egerton Recreation Reserve between 3pm and 6pm to celebrate the turning of the Wheel.

We will be celebrating the Sabbat of Samhain; a time when the veils between the worlds are thin and the realms of the Spirit and the Ordinary World in which we live overlap. A wonderful afternoon of ritual and connection as we honour the Sacred Dark.

Samhain is the third and final harvest festival on the Wheel Of The Year. The time of decay and death, of releasing what no longer serves to create rich fertile compost in which to plant your seeds for the next cycle. It is the gateway to Winter, the time of the Crone, and the distillation of all that has unfolded since winter solstice last year.

It is also a time to honour our Ancestors, and so we ask that each of you brings a photograph or keepsake of your passed over loved ones to add to our Ancestral Altar. You will be able to take these home with you at the end of our time together.

You can expect a cosy indoor gathering with the following:

✨ You will be smudged on arrival prior to entering the space

✨ Calling the Directions as a group

✨ Teachings around the significance of this time of the year

✨ Crafting herbal smoke bundles to use in your ritual practice

✨ Transmutation by fire ritual as we release all that no longer serves

✨ Nourishing afternoon tea

✨ Teachings around herbal allies and practices for this time of year

✨ Singing & drumming around the fire (outdoors)

Please let us know about any dietary restrictions in the comment section when you purchase your ticket and we will be sure to accommodate you.

We are looking forward to sharing a nourishing afternoon with you, steeped in ritual and ceremony as we celebrate the final harvest, honour our ancestors, and release all that no longer serves. You are welcome to dress up for this event if you wish!

The second part of the gathering will be our Singing & Drumming Circle. Bring along your voice, your drum if you have one (other musical instruments are most welcome, or stamp your feet and clap your hands, drum your heartbeat on your chest - all forms of joyous self expression are welcome!). We will provide a basket of small percussion instruments to share, such as rattles and clap sticks... don't let not owning a drum be a reason to miss out!

There will be plenty of time throughout the afternoon to sink your roots in deeply and connect with the others who have come along.

We are so looking forward to singing and drumming with you! Cultivating joy and raising our collective vibration as we celebrate the turning of the Wheel.

See you in the forest!

Love, Earthstar & Nicki xx
