Event description

Samhain (Sow- Win) Ceremonial Event

Samhain is marking the beginning of the darker half of the year.

This is a time when the veil is considered to be at its thinnest.

With the veil at its thinnest we can use divination methods to get answers and make contact with our ancestors.

It can be a powerful time to set intentions for change, renewal and release what is no longer serving you.

An old ancient rite tells of writing a message to our departed loved ones on a piece of paper and casting it into the cauldron’s fire, asking for our prayers to be answered at this auspicious time.

We will gather to journey to the otherworld / underworld, opening up our mind’s eye to journey beyond the veil’s edge.

Coming on this journey and helping us will be grandmother Mugwort & Blue Lotus. Also inviting in Wormwood to help us step through the doors of perception and helping us journey to meet our ancestors and commune with them.

We will be also inviting the medicine of Cedar in to open the doorway to the above and asking it to help us have our prayers answered.

There will be other plants called in prior to the ceremony and you will find out more about them on the night.

Intention for this ceremonial event is letting go, honouring the old ways, honouring the ancestors.

What to expect:

Ceremonial clearing/cleansing using smoke or feathers (please let Ashley know if not a fan of smoke on the day),

Following this will be a ceremony honouring the sabbat Samhain

We will be setting intentions on paper and burning them together in a cauldron.

We will be partaking in a mugwort/blue lotus tea/brew prepared by Ashley.

Following this will be a drum and sound journey with music played to inspire you to journey to meet your ancestors for healing and answers to anything going on in your life currently.

Each participant will also receive an Energetic Clearing on the night as well.

Ashley will be preparing a Samhain flower essence blend for the group and you will receive a take home bottle of this to work with post ceremony.
