Roots Supporting Roots with Albororsie
Description
Alborosie Live at WorldBeat Cultural Center
Thursday, November 5
Doors open at 7:30 PM
WorldBeat Cultural Center welcomes Alborosie for a special night of roots reggae, conscious music, and community.
Born in Sicily and deeply rooted in Jamaica’s reggae culture, Alborosie has become one of the leading voices in contemporary roots reggae. Known for songs including “Kingston Town,” “Herbalist,” and “Still Blazing,” his music carries the spirit of reggae forward with messages of consciousness, resilience, culture, and social justice.
This concert also marks the beginning of WorldBeat Cultural Center’s year-end fundraising season. From now through the end of the year, our upcoming concerts will help support the work we do year-round, with profits from these events going toward WorldBeat’s cultural programming, education, community events, gardens, and continued preservation and celebration of African and Indigenous cultures.
When you purchase a ticket to this show, you’re not only coming out for a great night of reggae—you’re helping sustain an independent nonprofit cultural center that has served the San Diego community for decades.
Join us for Alborosie and help us keep the music, culture, education, and community moving forward.
Come for the music. Help support the mission.
