The SASDA Sports Dentistry Conference 2026 brings together dental professionals, sports medicine clinicians, researchers, industry partners and athletes for a dynamic day of education, collaboration and innovation.
With this year’s theme, Oral Trauma and The Athlete, the conference will explore the prevention, assessment and management of dental and facial injuries in sport, alongside the wider role of oral health within athlete care and performance.
Through expert-led lectures, real-world case discussions and interdisciplinary insight, delegates will gain practical knowledge and valuable connections within the growing field of sports dentistry.
The experience continues on by dovetailing the conference with live sport, creating the ultimate sports dentistry experience both inside and outside the lecture theatre.

Day One

Conference
Centered around the theme *Oral Trauma and the Athlete*, the conference combines CPD-accredited education with practical, real-world sporting insight. Delegates will develop valuable clinical and pitch-side knowledge in the management of acute dental trauma in sport, prevention strategies including custom-made mouthguards, and the role of the sports dentist within the multidisciplinary sports medicine team. Through expert-led lectures, discussion and hands-on learning, attendees will gain practical skills that can be applied directly to both clinical practice and sporting environments.
