Saturday Mahjong and Chinese Chess (April 2025)

11 April: Due to higher numbers we are now meeting in the Pipitea room.

Calling all Mahjong (麻將), Chinese Chess (象棋) and Go (圍棋) players...

Whether you're a complete beginner or have some skills under your belt, come along to enjoy some friendly games at our Saturday afternoon session. You can drop in and leave anytime.

We offer a variety of Mahjong styles to suit your preference, including Cantonese, Sichuan, and Taiwanese. While we primarily play Mahjong, Chinese Chess and Go is available for play.

Lessons are available for Mahjong.

At this stage, there are no lessons for Chinese Chess and Go, an update will be made closer to the date here.

Fee: $10 per person

Afternoon tea: Tea, coffee and light afternoon tea provided.

Game sets: Please bring along your Mahjong, Chinese Chess and Go sets.

Payment options: Credit card with 60c booking fee; Internet Banking or Cash

Pre-registrations: Maximum of 20 people, those who have pre-registered take preference.

Venue info:

• Accessibility: There is an outdoor ramp access into the building for less mobile people. 
• Parking: Limited off-street parking is available beneath the building.
