Little-known in Australia, Rebecca Clarke’s music is a gorgeous melting- pot of late-romantic + British pastoral sentiment. Also rarely performed, is Bernstein’s quirky early-career ‘Clarinet Sonata’. Andonovska’s reimagining of Strauss’ epic ‘Violin Sonata’ gives the work incredible new dimensions.
