Saturday Studio Sessions - Session 2: Colour and Choice
Description
Explore your choices. Notice what feels like you.
When life is full of decisions and other people’s expectations, it can be easy to overlook your own preferences. This workshop gives you an opportunity to choose colours, shapes, marks and to follow an idea purely to see what happens when you give your own curiosity some attention.
You’ll get to experiment with acrylic paint, marks and layers. A brief insight from the science of mark-making and visual thinking introduces how images can help us explore and communicate ideas. Then it’s your turn to make, notice and experiment.
You might discover a new playful approach, notice when self-judgement appears, or simply enjoy the process. Take away an artwork, an observation or a small choice you’d like to make more room for in everyday life.
90 minutes; no more than six participants. No art experience needed. All materials and aprons provided. No previous session required. Newcomers welcome; each session stands alone.
