#130Women Exhibition - Save The Dates
Event description
130 Women aims to explore the contributions of local women to the place and society we live in today.
This Goldfields Women's Health Care Centre project, led by four local artists is working with the community through a series of residencies, workshops and community engagements to create a collection of works recognising women from our local history.
These women's stories will be told through written and spoken words complimented with various visual art forms created by over 80 creatives with connections to the Goldfields. The collaboration of artworks will be presented to coincide with the 130-year anniversary of Kalgoorlie-Boulder in 2023.
It's time to lock the important dates into your 2023 Calendar.

#130Women pays respect to the traditional owners of this land, Elders past, present, and future, and to those whose stories we tell.
-----
In its infancy, the 12-month project received support through funding from DLGSC and Lotterywest through the Creative Communities Covid Recovery Program, enabling us to gather stories, commission artists, host workshops and residencies, and create artworks.
With the support of the City of Kalgoorlie Boulder and the Kalgoorlie Boulder Chamber of Commerce, we have secured a gallery space, and we are now welcoming supporters to help us achieve our goals to curate over 130 diverse artworks into the quality exhibition deserved with the ability to keep it open for one month.
