Join us on Sunday 6th of April from 2pm-4pm for our first SAW: Sawtooth Artist Workshop of 2025!
Our first one for the year will be Dry Needle Felting with Mae Finlayson. Mae is well versed and much loved in the SAW space and we’re looking forward to having her share her skills with us again.
‘Learn needle felting techniques to create woolly images, decorate cozy clothes and fuzz-up soft furnishings, cushions and blankets. This workshop will be suitable for all learning levels but especially welcomes beginners. All materials and equipment will be supplied.’

Mae Finlayson makes soft sculpture, embroidery, fabric prints and collage with a hand made aesthetic blending ordinary materials in unusual ways. She has a BA with 1st class Honours from Goldsmiths’ College, University of London and a Masters of Constructed Textiles from the Royal College of Art, London. While making work for gallery exhibition and outdoor festivals, Mae has worked on many collaborative, community and solo projects often specialising in projects driven by audience participation.
