StrongBodies at the Madison Senior Center - Fall 2026
Description
StrongBodies is a community-based, physical-activity program that supports healthy aging across the lifespan and is open to anyone interested in this fitness education. StrongBodies offers twice-weekly sessions led by trained instructors. Participants follow a structured plan to strengthen all major muscle groups, working to gradually increase the weights used. Participants gain strength, improve mobility, and reduce the risk of conditions like osteoporosis, heart disease, and diabetes.
The Wisconsin StrongBodies Program empowers individuals of all ages to live stronger, healthier lives. Through community-based, strength-training programs, participants improve fitness, build strength, gain confidence, and connect socially—enhancing overall well-being.
Class Details
Days/Times: Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:00-10:15am w/Instructor Angela
Dates: September 23, 2026 - November 20, 2026
Spaces Available: 12 participants
Cost: $30 suggested contribution for the whole series (participants are welcome to make a contribution less than $30)
Please wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes with rubber soles, preferably athletic shoes. Please feel free to bring a mat or towel to assist with some of the exercises, as well as a water bottle.
