    About the Speakers:

    Julia Foyster

Julia Foyster is recognised in the Tweed region as a reputable 5th generation avocado farmer and multiple award-winning Founder of Tweed Real Food - an artisan range of all natural seasonings and balsamic vinegars.

After encountering disastrous climate challenges, from recurring floods, severe bush fires, a detrimental hailstorm and one of the worst droughts in Australian farming history - Julia identified farming adversity as an opportunity for growth and resilience.

With a 1 million turnover in its 2nd year, Tweed Real Food is a thriving rural business, famous for its unique product range including Bourbon Maple Splash Balsamic Vinegar and nut-free Avo Smash Dukkah.

Building a sustainable business, crafting award-winning products, contributing career opportunities to the employment shortage in rural NSW and successfully relieving the farming business of their setbacks are just a few of the noteworthy accomplishments Julia has achieved in this short time frame. She is currently working on her book 'There is a story behind every meal'.

    Tania Usher

Tania Usher is the founder of the multi-award-winning tourism company Blue Ginger Picnics and the recently launched 100% organic, My Daily Chai.

A Kingscliff resident for 21 years, Tania raised her two daughters in the region while running her online digital marketing company.

In 2017 she launched Blue Ginger Picnics with a vision to encourage people to reconnect with nature, the food they eat and each other. As a plastic-free business, Blue Ginger Picnics serves 100% local produce and sourced exclusively from local businesses.

In March 2020, Blue Ginger Picnics won Gold at the Australian Tourism Awards, the only tourism operator in NSW to win Gold at a national level.

Having won six gold awards and one silver, across local, regional, state and national levels, Tania is widely recognised for her dedication to supporting local businesses.

Tania's e-commerce business, My Daily Chai is an accidental startup that transformed a home blend into a globally distributed brand.

When Tania hit peri-menopause and started experiencing severe hormonal surges she experimented with natural remedies to help ease symptoms. Identifying a gap in the market for a 100% certified organic, caffeine-free, unsweetened, all-natural blend of medicinal chai spices infused with ancient adaptogenic remedies, My Daily Chai was born.

Email marketing is a key communication strategy for both Blue Ginger Picnics and My Daily Chai.
