MIT University’s ULAB: Leading from the emerging future workshop coming to Northern Rivers again. Sessions will be held in Ballina and online. 

Transforming Business, Society and Self. 

During the ULab’s workshop, you will be introduced to a method called Theory U, developed at MIT, for leading such change in business, government, and civil society contexts worldwide. ULab will guide you in applying Theory U to an issue that matters to you, building your capacity to lead transformative change in the process. You will do so with fellow change makers locally and around the world. Participants will learn: 

  • Self-knowledge: The leadership that matters most 
  • Capacities of deep listening, precise observation, and dialogue 
  • Practices for creating innovations that generate wellbeing in society

About facilitator Natalie Brookes:

Natalie is an Entrepreneurship Facilitator which is an Australian Government initiative supporting entrepreneurs and start-up businesses within the Northern Rivers NSW region. With experience in operating her own businesses, Natalie understands the freedom and joy that self-employment and business ownership bring, along with the constant challenges it presents. Having started her career working for Sir Paul McCartney in London, Natalie is a qualified accountant, experienced senior business consultant and analyst, with post graduate qualifications and a wide range of experience across a variety of industries, and multifaceted structures. Passionate about continuous improvement, and a strong advocate for sustainable governance frameworks, Natalie is a B Consultant trained by B Lab Australia/New Zealand. Helping organisations who wish to improve their social and environmental impact to become a Certified B Corp, and strategically integrating the United Nation’s (UN’s) Global 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) into their business models.
