SCAMP Comics Festival 2026 Panel: Comedy in Comics with Doug Bayne, Trudy Cooper, Stacy Gougoulis and Scott Wrigg

What exactly does it take to put the ‘funny’ in funny books?

Well, Trudy Cooper and Doug Bayne have a pretty good idea. This comics power couple has been delivering a new strip of their fantasy sex comedy, Oglaf, every week since 2008.

Joining them are editorial cartoonist Stacy Gougoulis (ABC, Washington Post, Vice) and master of the four-panel gag comic, Scott Wrigg (Wrigg Works). Hosted by Chris Neill.

In this strictly adults-only panel, you’ll learn the secrets of crafting gag comics that make you want to laugh out loud. Don’t miss this chance to hear these creators in conversation as they talk all things comedy, making sexy comics, and the changing landscape of funny books.

This panel is strictly for adults aged 18 and over.

This panel is part of the program for SCAMP Comics Festival 2026. To see the rest of the program visit cockatoocomics.com/scamp or follow us on Instagram here.
