Isolation isn’t temporary for everyone - this Schizophrenia Awareness Week, “Stay connected” while you stay home.
One Door Mental Health’s annual symposium will go ahead virtually to ensure Schizophrenia Awareness Week (SAW) is recognised during a time where it is needed most.
Australia, 17th – 24th May 2020: The annual Schizophrenia Awareness Week will for the first time in history be attended virtually, making it the most inclusive and accessible SAW to date.
Established in 1986 by the then Schizophrenia Council of Australia (now MIFA), SAW aims to destigmatise what is one of the most marginalising mental illnesses. The week takes place every year in May to coincide with the week of World Schizophrenia Awareness Day (24 May).
