School Holiday Workshop: Sensory Sculptures
Event description
Inspired by an artwork from the Benalla Art Gallery collection by Rosalie Gascoigne, participants will explore sensory sculpture making. When you touch, smell, see, taste or hear something, you are using one of your senses. A sensory sculpture is a sculpture that uses your senses. You might be able to see it, hear it or smell it!
Participants will take a close inspection of Rosalie Gascoignes sculpture and gather inspiration for their own construction. They will be guided to use a range of materials, liquids, household items, and ingredients to make an interesting and playful sculpture. Mixing construction with collage, drawing, and adornment, participants will be encouraged to think about how their sculptures appeal to the senses and are viewed from a full 360 view.
