Creative Collage

Hey! Do you like drawing and do you get great ideas about all sorts of stuff? Well one way to keep track of it is by putting all those drawings and ideas into a journal. Not just any journal, but one custom-made by you using collage to personalise the cover! Let your imagination run wild.

Learn how to cut, arrange, layer and glue a wonderful collection of images and text gathered from old magazines and books to make a colourful and personal design. You’ll go home with a book to treasure always.

The Zine Scene

Got something to say, a story to tell, or just love getting messy with art? Become a self-published creator!

In this action-packed workshop, you will learn how to design, fold, and create your very own mini-magazine (a zine!). Come and get guidance on how to carve out your own style and stamp your mark. Rip, cut, and paste wild visuals. Bring your dynamic ideas to life with markers, ink, and pens.

No experience needed—just bring your imagination and get ready to cut, paste, and create. You’ll walk away with your own masterpiece and the skills to make a million more!

All materials are supplied and children will take home their projects.

Gelli Printing

Wed 7 Oct, 2-4pm

Come and discover how to make an exact picture of a plant without a camera. Come and learn how to build layered designs that are original and fun to make.

You can turn your creations into a special framed wall hanging and some of the designs you make can be made into unique gift cards.

Cost: $60 per child. All materials are supplied and children will take home their projects.

About Lina

Lina is a Sydney artist and specialist collage maker who also works in painting and drawing. She’s a former high school art teacher and now works as an artist educator at one of Sydney’s leading art galleries, running hands-on art programs with schools and visitors. Her workshops are calm, welcoming spaces to make things.
