Join the Centre for Law and Social Justice to officially launch the School Students' Statement on the Right to a Healthy Environment.This event follows the 2023 Youth Forum hosted in collaboration with Australian Lawyers for Human Rights and the Human Rights for New South Wales Alliance. The event brought together over 50 high school students from 12 schools across the Hunter region of NSW to discuss the right to a healthy environment in the context of human rights. School students drafted the Statement on the Right to a Healthy Environment, join us to officially celebrate and launch the Statement. The Statement will be launched by Trisha Doyle MP, NSW Parliamentary Secretary for Climate Change, Energy, and the Environment. The event will be an opportunity to elevate young voices and provides an opportunity for students to engage with government officials. We invite students, schools, education leaders, government officials, parents & carers, and interested persons to join us.

The event will take place at the University of Newcastle NUspace campus (409 Hunter Street) Level 2, Room X-202 from 5pm - 6.30pm. Light refreshments will be provided.
