Schools and Communities: Working Together for Sustainability
Event description
Join Staffordshire Green Network for an outdoor event at Croft on the Heath, a community project run by St Mary's C of E First School in Uttoxeter. Hear about how their unique outdoor learning space was created in collaboration with local businesses and communities, and how it continues to be used by the school and local people to celebrate and promote outdoor learning for all.
This event is aimed at community groups who wish to learn more about how they can reach and engage with their local schools, or for school staff who wish to engage with their local community on shared projects.
About the event:
This event will be outdoors, so please bring a warm, waterproof coat and wear shoes that you don't mind getting a bit muddy.
Hot drinks and refreshments will be available (bring your own mug is appreciated!).
Car parking is available on the local roadside (not in the school car park).
The site is muddy in places, particularly after rain. A shelter is available in case of rain.
This event is part of the 'Community Climate Skills' project, funded by Keele University Institute of Social Inclusion.
