Event description

"To explore possibilities, and what can be done when we focus on hope and joy"

Join Staffordshire Green Network for a special outdoor event which explores how schools and local communities can work together, and the magic that can happen when they do. This event is aimed at community groups who wish to learn more about how they can reach and engage with their local schools, or for school staff who wish to engage with their local community on shared projects.

As well as gaining practical tips and examples of how best to create partnerships between schools and community groups, this event will showcase a recent project completed by Greenwood Growth CIC at Horton St Michael's CE First School and Nursery, based around creativity in the outdoors.

About the event:

This event will be outdoors, so please bring a warm, waterproof coat and wear shoes that you don't mind getting a bit muddy.

Hot drinks and refreshments will be available (bring your own mug is appreciated!).

Car parking is available on the local roadside (not in the school car park).

Toilets will be available until 5pm.

These woods are well laid out and accessible for wheelchair users.

The site is muddy in places, particularly after rain. A shelter is available in case of rain.

This event is part of the 'Community Climate Skills' project, funded by Keele University Institute of Social Inclusion.
