Science HDR: Kickstarting Your Candidature

You are invited to attend our upcoming "Kickstarting Your Candidature" workshop on Wednesday, 19 February 2025. Dr Alexandra Marrugo, Learning Hub Lead, will facilitate this engaging workshop. 

Designed specifically for new commencing Science HDR students, this workshop aims to provide you with a foundation in higher degree by research. Throughout half a day, we will delve into the essence of a thesis, its structure, and place a special emphasis on the critical aspect of the literature review. Additionally, we will explore strategies to optimize your candidature, including harnessing the power of AI tools, overcoming procrastination, and managing writer's block.

Most importantly, you will learn about the tools, services, and support staff available at the University to facilitate your journey toward PhD success.

Come along, ask your questions, and connect with peers who are also beginning their HDR journeys.
