Science Lunch and Learn: Change Leadership

Dear Science staff,

Our next Faculty of Science Lunch and Learn will be held on Wednesday, June 25th between 12.00 – 1.00 pm, in the MaPS Gridroom: CB04.05.430.

Change Leadership – building the skills required to adapt to stages of change

As UTS continues to evolve in a rapidly changing environment, we acknowledge the importance of building new capabilities – particularly in areas such as resilience and self-care - and of supporting one another over the coming months.

To facilitate this, we have invited Julie Birtles from Beyond Excellence to join us. Julie is currently working with UTS to help strengthen the leadership capabilities and mindset needed to navigate the disruption facing the higher education sector. She brings deep insight and a strong understanding of our context and challenges and knows us well.

This interactive forum will offer practical tools, strategies and perspectives to help you to adapt to change, build personal resilience and lead with confidence. It’s a valuable opportunity to pause, invest in your own growth, and connect with colleagues as we continue to shape the future of UTS together.

Short Bio:

Julie Birtles has over 25 years of experience at the forefront of leadership, complexity, and disruption, helping a new generation of leaders navigate uncertainty and large-scale change. Her clients span the private, public, and non-profit sectors and include top 20-ASX listed companies, global subsidiaries, professional service firms, universities, entrepreneurs, government departments and agencies. They engage Julie and her team to work on strategic, high-value, and sensitive engagements to improve individual and collective performance in intensely competitive and demanding environments.
