Join geologist Dr Oliver McLeod for an evening exploring Karioi’s geological story and the ancient volcanic activity that helped shape the landscape we know today.
Oliver will share new research data from Whāingaroa Harbour and the offshore area towards Kārewa, adding further detail to our understanding of Karioi and its connections to the surrounding area.
Whether you’re fascinated by volcanoes or simply curious about the place we call home, come along to learn more about the geological history on our doorstep.
