Science Week & Fathering Project: Cyanotypes with your child
Event description
🌿 Science Week: Make Your Own Cyanotype Print! 🧪
A creative science experience for kids and their grown-ups
To celebrate National Science Week, you're invited to join us for a hands-on cyanotype printing session—a beautiful blend of science, sunlight, and creativity!
In this guided workshop, you and your child will:
Collect leaves, flowers, and found objects from nature
Arrange them on specially coated cyanotype paper
Watch the magic happen as sunlight helps develop your one-of-a-kind blue-toned print
This process is completely child-safe and simple enough for little hands to take part in. Cyanotype is one of the earliest photographic printing methods—originally used to document botanical specimens—and it’s a wonderful way to explore chemistry and creativity at once!
