Event description

Join us in the beautiful towns of the Upper Hunter this March to hear, to think, to be challenged, to share and to be entertained.

We’ll be showcasing plenty of homegrown and emerging talent, as well as welcoming some big names from much farther afield, to our little BIG Festival!

We have an action packed three days with events to entertain, nurture creativity and stimulate critical thought and lively conversation on some BIG topics facing our world.

The best value is to buy a whole weekend festival pass so that you don’t miss any of the panel sessions or talks, but if you can only make one day, we also have separate passes for Saturday or Sunday.

There’s even options for Concession and heavily subsidised Student passes for up to 25 year olds.

If you want to get a group together, we’ve got a BIG discount on the weekend Festival Package for four.

We have some fantastic workshops for FREE, but you need to book your spot as places are limited.
Book in for these FREE workshops:

Film Making workshops for 15–25-year-olds
LinkedIn Masterclass with Australia’s Leading LinkedIn agency
Primary Creative Writing Workshops
Community Storytelling
Storytime @ Scone Library

We’re planning some fun filled Entertainment Events with wonderful Authors.  The following entertainment events need a separate or additional ticket.

Merriwa CWA Literary lunch with Ryan Butta – Tickets are $50 and include lunch
Reservoirs Literary G&T with Michael Burge @ Magpie Distilling in Murrurundi – Tickets are $50
Saturday Night Soiree.  This is included in your Saturday or weekend pass, or you can book individually for $50 per person.
Westpac Rescue Helicopter Bush Poets’ Breakfast fundraiser $45 per person with all profits going to the Rescue Helicopter

2023 Scone Literary Festival is set to be a fantastic event with over 50 wonderful guests, so get your tickets now!
